25 June 2008 - Gurnos Welsh Cherry went to her new home today to Whalley Stud in Lancashire.

22nd June 2008 - We took JoJo to Gwent Area Show today for the ridden section C stallion class. It was very windy and he was very unsettled, but he came 1st in his class and was reserve champion section C ridden.

8th June 2008 - We went to Whitbarn Farm today for a Huner TrialsJoJo and Jazz flew around the pairs (too fast!) and came 5th

25th May 2008 - It wasn’t our day at Swansea unfortunately. JoJo has been rubbing and is quite sore on the backend, and he also haven’t had much time out lately, which I think has made him a bit stale.  First he tried to buck me off in the collecting ring, then he took a dislike to the practise jump.  We got to fence number 8 with 1 knock down, but he refused that 3 times so we were eliminated.  He did go well in the ridden class in the afternoon, but I did managed to get on the wrong side of the conformation judge and we were unplaced.

3rd May 2008 - I arrived at the farm at 8 o clock to get JoJo ready for Glanusk, and when we left, half hour later, Jack’s mare Gwaniuarll Nannette had foaled. A pretty little chestnut filly named Gurnos JellyBaby by Jack.  JoJo came 3rd in the section C ridden class, so a good day all in all.

2nd May 2008 - Today we picked up to new member to the farm. The first was black section C stallion Lodeside Eidwen’s Star and the other was Brandy, a 17hh coloured gelding

26th April 2008 - We went to Sunnybanks for a One Day Event.  JoJo did very well and managed to get 4th overall and 2nd in the jumping. Richard and Luke also had a good day, despite us giving him only a weeks notice to lern his dressage test, and they came away with 8th overall and 4th in the jumping in the Intermediate class.

20th April 2008 -JoJo’s season has got off to a some what rocky start with his first event of the year being Brecon and Talybont Hunter Trials on 13/04/08.  He came unplaced, despite getting a clear round in an excellent time! But hey, we live and learn!  The Brecon course has been quite an unlucky course for m, thinking about it. The first time I went, 10 years ago, I missed the last jump and got eliminated after jumping the rest clear, another time I got an refusal which wasn’t a refusal at the last jump, and twice I have narrowly missed out on 1st place with 2 different ponies, missing 1st place by a fraction of a second!

Things did improve at Lampeter Stallion show on the 19/04/08, with JoJo receiving 2nd place in the ridden Section C class. The winner, Menai Calon Lan went on to take Ridden Champion. JoJo did strike off on the wrong canter lead in the individual show. It makes me wonder what the result would have been if he’d got it right!

19th Feb 2008 - Gurnos Welsh Commander has joined Lochmore Stud in London as a stud stallion. Commander has proved

a great assest to our stud, both as a stallion and as a first class performance pony and will be missed by us all. Gurnos

Welsh BlackJack Two has also gone to Lochmore. Good Luck with them both!
